Founded in Paris in 1945, FIABCI is headquartered in Paris and boasts a global network spanning 60 countries and 115 national professional real estate associations. Representing 1.5 million real estate professionals across various industry disciplines, FIABCI has built an excellent reputation over the past 50 years.
As a non-political and democratic organization, FIABCI advises prominent international bodies such as the UN, EU, NAFTA, and MERCOSUR.
The Federation's multi-disciplinary nature includes surveyors, financiers, brokers, lawyers, architects, counselors, accountants, builders, insurers, and investors.
Originally known as the CNAB (French National Federation of Property Managers), FIABCI held its first international congress in 1948. In 1954, the Federation obtained consultative status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council and was renamed the International Real Estate Federation in 1964.
